For example, even though all three characters meet Maleficent, only Terra gains a D-Link with her. Terra, Ven, and Aqua do not have identical D-Links. You need to use both Finisher from each Linked character in order to complete the Reports for each character, so make sure you take the time to use them! A Finisher will only register if you get at least one hit with the Finisher using it after all the enemies are gone won't suffice. Each level up expands the Command Deck that character provides, and at the final level will upgrade their Finisher. Each Link can level up two times by collecting this Link Power Up objects.

This is presented as a large yellow star that looks similar to the wayfinders each character receives during the tutorial.

While fighting in a Link, there is a chance that enemies will drop a Link Power Up when they are defeated.

This is a useful tactic if you want to save Link energy. Changing areas or opening the menu automatically dismisses the Link.

Equipping Link Prize Plus Abilities increases the number of prizes that drop, enabling long time spent in a Link. Enemies drop small blue star objects, or D-Link Prizes, that will refill the gauge. It is also useful in some Mirage Arena battle challenges that limit healing.Ī D-Link remains active as long as the Link Gauge has energy. Activating a D-Link during battle will also fully heal you! This is a great way to heal during the early boss battles before you have Cure Commands, or if those Commands are reloading.
